Great point. I was there tonight and after they scored on the zone like 5 straight times the whole section was screaming GET OUT OF THE ZONE. It is just not a good group to zone with. Markel and DSR are too small upfront tot defend the middle pass. They should always be in man to man with that group. It is a totally different scenario if Greg W can play again (which i doubt). With him on the top of the zone it becomes a defensive strength although I still question our ability to rebound out of of it.

Markel will also have to be prepared to go to play all 40 on Saturday. If Cuse decides to do the full court press that they do we will not get the ball across half court without him in there. The minute he went out we quickly turned the ball over against their pressure 3 straight times.

so El Gordo was En Fuego.smiley: smile

The problem is with this zone is it is borderline "Munchkin Ball" defense again.  The team got torched by Rutgers, Cincy, and Depaul when doing this.  So what is cus going to do against it.

Hoya Destroya.  We Back.
