Wonderful performance and wonderful atmosphere from our guys. That was the loudest I have ever heard Verizon.

Markel and DSR really came to play.

I said to the group in our section, and will say it here now. I was flat out wrong about DSR. At the start of the year I repeatedly said to everyone in our section at Verizon that he would NEVER be able to score against Big East defense. Let alone the ridiculous defense he was playing which we were warned about. The kid went out on the court and totally proved me wrong about my scoring comment, and his effort on D has continued to improve throughout the year. I know he is not a favored player on this board, and there is still a lot of book left to write on him. For me I will no longer question his place on the team, and will concede that he is an important cog to any continued success we have in front of us this year.

Kudos to the kid for realizing that the crap effort he was getting by would not cut it in Div 1 bball. Also, kudos for III for getting this through to him.

I would concur he's defintely picked it up defensively. He still tries to finish in traffic way too often for my liking. That is not his game it drives me crazy when he tries to continually go to rack, among the trees. He just doesn't have the explosion and lift to convert those, more times than not. But when he sticks to his strengths.....using that pull up J and array of shot fakes, he's money. Still don't like him as ball-handler against pressure but off the ball, sticking that long range and mid-range J and giving that improved effort on defense, he is definitely a asset and one that works well to space the floor for OP. Still some mental lapses at times, like losing his man on defense but a much improved effort and intensity from him, defensively.
