It is March.  Interesting article pointing out the Gtown is one of 4 schools that has been ranked in the top 10 for seven consecutive years along with Kansas, UNC, and dook.  It sounds all good and well, but the problem is those 3 other schools have won a National Championship over that time.  Gtown has one Final Four and has not done chit else.  Can’t believe the freaking Durham fruits snuck  in a title.  They have sucked for a decade, but managed to make a run.  So there is no damn reason Gtown keeps getting bounced in the first weekend of the NCAA tournament and has not won a Big East regular season or tournament Championship in half a decade.  The truth is that nobody gives a damn about regular season rankings.  Heck, nobody remembers regular season rankings.  It is all about Chips.  The first Chip is right in front of us.  8 days and 3 games from winning the last Big East conference regular season, and accomplishing something meaningful.  These opportunities do not come around often in life, take advantage and stay focused on the task at hand.  There is no time to be tired.  The mind will quit 100 times before the body will quit.  This is the time that the mentally tough thrive. No time to get cocky, because this program has not accomplished chit yet.

It is March.

Go take it!

The other  noticeable thing about the other 3 schools in this article is that even though they have all won National Championships during this stretch, none of them have had more talent that Gtown has.  Over the past 7 years Gtown has had Jeff Green, Roy Hibbert, Greg Monroe, and Otto Porter.  Look at what UNC has had, I guess UNC's 2 most talented players during that span have been Ty Lawson and Harrison Barnes.  Kansas has had I guess the Morris twins, Chalmers, and Thomas Robinson.  dook has had kyrie irving for about 4 games.  Now it could certainly be argued that these other programs have had greater depth of talent, but Gtown has certainly has better high level talent.  This season Gtown has Otto Porter.  Otto is the best player in the country and it really is not close.  Ya know I am always brutally honest about a player good or bad, so if  there is someone better than Otto then I would say it.  But there ain't anyone better than Otto.  Noel is a better NBA prospect because of his height and athleticism {even with the bad knees}, but Otto is the better basketball player.  Across the board none of these teams are more talented that Gtown even  without wittington.

There are no excuses this March.

There are no excuses this time.

Get it done.
