Arkansas (real deal)
Joran Hopkins. YES SIR. Okay, time to make this kid priority number one in 2013. He is a bigger stronger Semaj Christon. Hopkins team lost in the quarter finals by about 10, because of size inside. But this kid competes. Yes, his jumper needs work, but I can improve that. Kidding that is one of things the JT3 is excellent at. This kid is a super combo guard like JT3 likes anyway, but he will eventually develop into an NBA type PG. Luv him. He gets into the lane at will. He has a tight handle and keeps his head up. When he changes direction on his dribble, he does not lose speed or balance, he actually explodes forward. He sees the entire floor and is unselfish. He creates for others, but can be a finisher also. GET HIM!
Stephen Domingo. His team won the Real Deal tournament, as Isaac Hamilton is better than his big brother. Now for Domingo. First the good. His shooting mechanics are excellent. He has the same motion every time. The kid has a high hoops IQ and is unselfish. He makes good basketball plays. Now the not so good. He is more Tracey Murray than Reggie Miller. Meaning he is more of and SF than an SG. Miller may not have been a great athlete, but he had very good quickness and could stay in front of opposing guards/wings. Domingo does not have that kind of quickness or footspeed. So it is really question as to if he can defend perimeter players. Thus his game is more like Tracey Murray. Plus Domingo is not the type of player that can break anyone down with his dribble. His jumpshot sets up the rest of his game.
Tim Quaterman 6-6 SG Atlanta Celtics. Interesting combo guard. He is rail thin, but can really play. He is very smart and good ball handler. He is not a super athlete, but is long and athletic. He has a good shot, just needs to get more consistent. He is very good with the ball in his hands, but plays well off the ball also. He has quick feet, so he can guard other perimeter players.
Boo Williams (Nike EYBL)
Nick King. He is a lot like Terrence Jones. Now Terrence was a better athlete, ball handler, passer, and post player. Nick is a better shooter and scorer. He needs to improve handling the ball with his right hand and improving his consistency from the outside. Would like to see him improve his mid range game, but he finds ways to get to the basket. He will rebound and has a strong body.
Jimmy Taylor. There is a lot to like here. Long, active, and aggressive. Now we all know that AAU ball is not conducive fore bigmen to really get the ball and do their thing. But this kid still sticks his nose in there and goes for the ball. He hits the boards and alters a lot of shots. Wish he would have gotten more touches on the block to see his full skill set. But he is smart , active, and talented. So that is good enough for now. Stay on him.
Kennedy Meeks. Sorry t o say this, but HELL NO. We have seen enough. My guys watched him against Jahil Okafor and Mac Irvin. Meeks was in over head. He just does not have athleticism, length, or conditioning. He only scored one basket, and just could not get it done against equal or better bigs. He has a very nice shooting touch, high IQ, and great passing skills. Again, this might be the nicest most first class kid one could ever meet. But what I am saying is just about basketball. Taking Meeks would set Gtown back bigtime. Can NOT have a roster of 6’8ish below the rim centers and expect to get past the first weekend of the NCAA tournament anytime soon. Disaster man, disaster. If he wants to be a Hoya it should only be a spring signing next year, on the condition that he has lost about 50 pounds. At this stage in highschool Roy was 7'2 with skill and Sweets was a scoring machine in the post. This kid is not even in the same galaxy. There is a huge difference between being ranked, and being good. Not all classes or the same. Stop the madness.
Jajuan Johnson. 6’2 combo guard from Memphis. He can score the ball at every level. The question is if he can play PG at a high level.
Rondae Jefferson. Active. He is one of those players that does a little bit of everything. He defends and rebounds hard. His offense needs work, particularly his shot and creating his own shot. He has a decent handle, but needs to improve that to be a guard in college. Right now he really struggles with part of his perimeter game. He is going to have to put some serious time in to improve his jumper. He is worth monitoring, but should not be a priority recruiting target.
Johanthann Williams III. He is sort of playing out of position in AAU, as he is tied to the post with Nick King and Johsnon doing most of the shooting. But Williams really competed hard this weekend. He stuck is nose in there and rebounded and tried to defend. He certainly needs to get in the weight room. But my guys liked what they saw in him. He needs to refine his perimeter game, but again it is hard to tell if that is just because of the AAU team he is on because he never gets to play on the outside. Against Houston’s very athletic team, Williams more than held his own. Gtown absolutely stay on him . 6’8ish talents are not everywhere. He needs work in a lot of areas, but so does about every player in the 2013 class. in a lot of areas, but so does about every player in the 2013 class. STAY ON HIM!
Shane Rector. Physical guard that lives in the lane. He is a smart NY city guard that really knows how to play. Not sure if he has the size or speed to be an elite Big East PG (more A10 right now), but he is certainly worth monitoring and have take a visit to play with the guys.
Josh Hart. No thanks.
Hoya Destroya. We Back.

There are some deficiencies in his game that I'm not sure how much will improve. It is always much better to watch a player in a real game setting as opposed to YouTube highlights. High school settings are also better to see than aau jack fest. This is some video of Domingo's sophomore season. He hurt his hand and had an up and down junior season. Great kid and can shoot it, but again there are some deficiencies that I don't know can be improved http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqwdE0ADyV8

Georgetown, Florida, Louisville, and Villanova were mentioned as candidates for the final 2 spots in addition to UNC/Kentucky--who both could exit this list when they push for other kids. They say they still want him but from seeing his performance at EYBL--think this was a calculated suggestion at delaying the commitment of a kid that isn't as good as many thought.
