Even more so for guys that have not played against good competition consistently. He needs to work on his shooting mechanics, handles, defense, and live in the weight room. Great job by Kirby and III to get this kid in the fold. http://www.zagsblog.com/2...12/porter-to-georgetown/ We now have the skilled and athletic roster that should allow us to correct the course we have chartered ourselves over the past couple of years. III obviously has been trying to get this done the last couple of years but just missed on Roscoe and Kendrick.

Tyler Adams should have brought Rodney back from Easter break with him to Gtown. Well this would solve the need to get a tall ball handling guard for 2013 if Gtown can bring Rodney Hood in. hood has a PG handle and played PG his entire life until his freshman season at MSU. Sweet Heavens. This next few weeks could be the greatest in Gtown recruiting history, or we are going to be some miserable fools. In a normal situation we should be estactic to just land one of the four (Noel, Pollard, Upshaw, Hood). But honestly, Gtown is in great position to land at least 2. There is zero conflict in position between Pollard and Hood. Rodney is a PG/SG while Devanta is a SF/PF right now. The key thing for Gtown is to free up another scholarship, which had to happen anyway to land a 2013 guard. So might as well use that one scholarship that was going to be freed-up by a transfer this year for Hood, because he is better than any guard in the 2013 class. There are 2 schollies available right now for the combination of Noel/Upshaw and Pollard. There are zero schollarships available for 2013, so yes, cap room must be made for a third scholarship whether it be right now for Hood or for a 2013 player anyway. The interesting thing is that l'ville was in the final five for both Upshaw and Hood since the were adidas guys in AAU, so I would expect l'ville to try and get in there also. The good thing is that Hood can NOT transfer to an SEC school. I absolutly luv Hood's game, and I am surprised he did not stay in this years draft. But since he would have probably been a late first or early second round pick in this deep draft, that is a very smart choice coming back to school. Now I just hope Gtown can land him. There is still a spot in front of Mcdonough Gym for me to build Coach Kirby a statue if he brings Hood to the Hilltop.
