My first post here, thanx Balla once again. About Bolden, got a chance to watch him hoop at Boo in Hampton back in April. More of a face-up 4/5 than a back to the basket guy. Needs to finish better around the rim, as he tends to rush his shots in traffic. Runs the floor real well and is a good athlete. Biggest thing I saw was he seemed a little "overwhelmed" by how hard these kids go at it in the EYBL. AAU ball may not be the greatest setting for gauging a guy's ability in a structured offensive but it will certainly distinguish the mighty from the meek, intensity wise. I saw him watching the action around him more than sticking his nose in there and mixing it up. He definitely needs to play with more fire. Also seemed to pick up alot of ticky-tack fouls, which goes back to kids out-working him for position and the ball. But I am in no means calling the kid a dud. He has alot of natural ability, just needs to polish his game around the basket and work on his intensity level. What I did notice is that he seemed to be just fine doing the "little things". He didn't pout(as alot of bigs do) when he didnt get touches or looks down low. He didn't seemed dis-interested when he wasn't scoring. That shows me he could be a very good role player for the Hoyas. Most bigs you recruit these days, think their the next Greg Monroe and feel they need the ball in their hands to prove their worth. Bolden seems like the guy who would be just fine not being the superstar. He appears to be the type who could give you 10 and 10 coming off the bench and still be one of your more impact players doing the little things it takes to win. A bigger, more athletic Nate if you will. And with Adams coming in and us going hard after bigs like Tony Parker, Ware and Noel, you probably going to need a big with that mindset. Just my 2 cents...
