Both Kyle and Troy are done for the tournament.  Both played strong, but there teams were undermanned on the interior. 

Kyle did his stat sheet stuffing.  Troy went head up on Julias Randle.  Troy is all fight and all heart.

Nerlen Noels is becoming the real deal.  His knee/leg is clearly healed from last summer, and he is running the court like a wing..

Iverson will be playing this weekend in Vegas for Long Island Lightning.

Bolden and Allerik Freeman will be playing in Orlando for Team Florida.

TJ Warren's squad keeps winning.

Troy and Boo won both games yesterday and lost this morning.

Allerick Freeman is doing work in Orlando.  Just keeps getting better.

Bolden actually rebounded and defended well playing for Boo the end of live period.  He is a serious work in progress.  I think where he plays next season will have a lot to do with his development.  Having said that, it is up to Bolden to make himself a balla.

I would still hold off on letting him sign until the Spring, but whatever.

Yeah, I'm a Nike guy, but I have a few friends on the other side that were kind enough to evaluate some Gtown prospects for me this weekend.

Lil Kyle.  Sprang his left ankle early in the tournament and could not play until the semi final games Saturday evening.  My guys still watch Kyle to observe how he interacts with others.  Some kids just have that it quality, and Kyle is that kid.  Everyone from younger highschool players like Rodney Bullock to college stars like Sullinger would come up to chat with him.  Kyle can pay dividends for years to come.  Not  to mention his Pops runs the Boo Williams of the North {NJ Playaz}.  Anyway, while Kyle finally play he obviously struggled with his ankle as we was not moving great.  He played point forward most of the game.  In the first half he was on the wing, in the second half he ran the point and allowed Gabe York and some nappy headed short kid to come off of screens.  Kyle did a nice job of facilitating, but struggled to really get it going.  When Kyle gets back to The Berg, he needs to focus on his jumpshot.  Between now and the season, that is where he needs to elevate his game.  If he can become a deadly/consistent outside shooter, he will be an almost impossible cover as defenders will have to crowd him.  This will make him a quicker player and allow him to use his handle and first step to get past defenders.

Robert Upshaw.  My guys really liked what they saw in Upshaw.  He is at legit 6'11 with a nice touch and a good feel for the game.  He is actually pretty athletic and nimble, he just needs to work on his explosiveness and leg strength.  He runs up and down the court with good effort and is a willing defender.  His mechanics on his jumper are good, so the foundation is there.  He needs to work on his post game, as both his footwork and back to the basket games needs work.  Great kid.  Very likeable and coachable.

Amile Jefferson.  Long athletic kid with a great attitude and plays hard.  He is excellent around the basket and inside of 7 -10 feet.  He is not a good shooter or ball handler right now, so my guys do not think he would be a very good fit in the Gtown system.  Now under Pops Amile would have been a one man press, but this is a different system  Amile will be a future first round pick as an SF, but not sure if it will be from Gtown.

Andre Drummond.  If Drummond calls JT3 and says that he is comming to Gtown for 6 months then is going pro, JT3 should have one answer, 'I will pick you up at the airport'.  Great talent, and really nice kid.  He wants to be coached, and could use Gtown as much as Gtown could use him.  But doubt it works out that way.

Nate Britt.  By far the most disappointing player at the adidas.  My guys say Nate is a very nice kid and coachable.  That was the extent of the nice things my guys could say about Nate, because from a basketball perspective...HELL NO.  Nate can NOT defend anyone.  It was understandable that Gabe York was owning Nate's ass and blowing by him at will, but so was a short chubby asian kid {no offense}.  Even worse is that Nate can NOT create his own shot.  He could not get by any defenders and even that short chubby asia kid {no offense} was cutting him off repeatedly.  The only way Nate could get a shot off or create any offense was on pick-n-rolls.  His shooting mechanics are okay with his upper body, but putrid with his feet.  He does that pigeon toed thing and it is brick city.  He only made one jumper in the 3 full days that my guys watched him.  That jumper was a spot up 3 in the corner off a kick from one of the Harrison twins.  Now I understand the Harrison twins dominated the ball a lot, but Nate did nothing of note when he was running the point.  He would get his shot blocked repeatedly.  He is an average ball handler at best, and an average athlete at best.  He is very good at finishing with his right hand.  In fact the only 2 areas that he is above average at is finishing with his off hand and passing. 

Note. To JT3, recruiting PGs are like recruiting QBs.  Take the wrong ones and you set your program back 3 years.  Forget rankings and local politics.

Keep an eye out for Rodney Bullock from VA Beach class of 2013.  Raw, but nice local prospect.

NIKE GLOBAL {The good guys}

Tony Parker.  Great feet.  Nice touch out to 15 feet.  Parker actually has pretty good lift for a big fellow.  He needs to continue to improve his conditioning and lose weight, but he is a talent.  He struggles to get his shot off against long/tall defenders, so it is important that he improves his back the basket game and face-up jumper.  He has a nice little hook shot, and needs to improve finishing with his left.   Like his potential if he can shed the pounds and improve conditioning.  Nice hands also.

Tyler Enis.  Well he is a pretty good spot up shooter even though his mechanics have a hitch.  He is a pretty quick, but not a great athlete.  He has a decent handle, but can not really blow by defenders and has trouble when the opposing guards push up on him.  He is on the smallish side.  His game is like a poorman's Mike Bibby.  He is a pick-n-roll PG or has to spot up.  Very good passer and sees the floor well.

Nerlen Noels.  Recruit him until he says no.

LJ Rose.  Really nice kid and very smart.  Very high hoops IQ.  Good passer and ball handler.  Having said those things, he did not do much this weekend good or bad to distinguish himself.  He was just a solid team player.
