Alright Henry, so the journy begins.  We have a Henry Sims NBA thread now.

Henry is MAKING MONEY!

His team lost in the Chip game tonight by 5, but Henry led his team with 19pts 10rbs, and 5blks.  He ran the floor, boarded, and defended like a beast.  He did a great job of posting and playing help defense.  I will be surprised if he last until mid second round.  He is too talented with too much upside.  Heck, he is younger than Will Barton (I like Will).   He measures 6'10 w/o shoes and a 7'4 wingspan.  So he has value as a center and PF in the League.  The words used for Henry this week were surprising long and athletic. 

Next step is to keep improving for Chicago and the individual/group workouts.

Interesting watching all of these teams play in the playoffs.  Both Miami and San Antonio could be great fits for both Henry and Hollis.  From a financial standpoint, being drafted in the second round is not as good obviously.  But this also means both Henry and Hollis will have a good chance of making a roster.  What happens in the second round is that teams that do not want to spend money will draft a Euro that they will not have to pay.  Teams that keep the draft pick or trade for the draft pick will want to have that player on the roster for a reason.  So good teams that are playoff caliber will want guys like Hollis and Henry that already know how to play and can come in and fill a role, and be professional.  A lot of teams do not want to spend money, so if Hollis and Henry are drafted in the second round it will be an organization that sees a role for them on the team.

Would luv for Henry to elevate himself into the late first round, but that might not be realistic.  Just gotta keep grinding.  Everyday for the next 30 days is the most important day of Henry's life.

Nope.  Nope. Nope.  I am not really superstitious.  And outside of Hollis' family, nobody wants to see him get drafted more than I do.  I luv the young fella, and Gtown has not had a guard type player drafted in a minute.  But this draft with Henry and Hollis is a lot like the Roy and Lil Pat draft.  We knew Roy was getting drafted just like we knew Henry was getting  drafted.  We thought Lil Pat was getting drafted in the second round, but it was not a guarantee.  So I would rather not jinx it.  Heck, just like the Roy and Lil Pat draft, I will not even be watching this draft.  I would go insane listening to them announce a bunch of Euro stiffs (and american stiffs too) in the second round instead of Hollis.  So I will pass on that,  and just wait for my cell phone to hopefully blow up when Henry and Hollis get drafted.  The thing is the Euro's this draft suck.  So any team drafting Euros in the second round are just trying to save money since they will never sign the player to a contract. 

This entire draft is very interesting in that there are no real franchise players.  I do not even view anothony davis as a "franchise player".  At 6'9, davis should eventually become a very good NBA PF, but he is not going to be transcendent or anything.  After that, the is as deep draft, but not a top heavy draft.  Heck, I would honestly take Mo Harkless over Harrison Barnes, but no GM in their right minds would dare do that.  Hollis will be a better pro than Jeremy Lamb, but no GM would do that either.  So it is easier to let these guys fall to them in the draft. Teams can get just about as quality a talent late in the first round as they can late in the lottery.  This years draft is much deeper than next years, so contending teams will be wise to trade into this second round and draft immediate value players like Henry and Hollis.  Henry (C/PF) and Hollis(SG/SF) both have good measurables that will allow them to play 2 positions in the NBA each.
