Posts: 3521 Jul 24 09 10:25 AM	I like Alex Murphy a lot. I'm not sure how tall he is now, I would guess 6'6ish. I wonder if he will grow as tall as his brother(6'10ish). Gotta find lichHoya and measure his growth plates.

Murphy has good size, is very efficient facing the basket, and can score down low with toughness. Murphy will need to get stronger, but his game seems to be coming along at a high level.

Posts: 517 Jul 27 09 7:57 PM	Let's see, this is a 2012 thread, which means these kids are just entering tenth grade. Isn't "needs to get stronger" sort of a ridiculous comment for a tenth grader? What percentage of tenth graders don't need to get stronger when comparing their games to those of other high school kids, or even in general? Most tenth graders to be haven't even started to fill out yet. Isn't that pretty much a given?

Its not just silly when they say this about guys enterting the 10th grade, its also silly when they say this about guys who are about to enter college too. Frankly it annoys me when this is overemphasized in writeups of freshmen participating in the Kenner League. There is no need to tell anyone that a college freshman needs to get stronger because with rare exceptions they all do.

Posts: 3521 Oct 11 09 11:15 PM	AGH, I could have sworn you said Beasley at first. Nice change. Justin does want to get away from the area like Durant. Obviously Justin is not near that level of a talent, but he is still a good prospect. He would go to UNC, but if not then he will probably get off of the eastcoast. He is a heck of an athlete, but he is not very tall and has limited skills right now. Not to mention he is older than a lot of his class. So it will be interesting to see how he develops. Good kid, and plays hard.

Posts: 3521 Oct 12 09 11:38 PM	Montrose does not have any good players in the pipeline that Gtown would be interested in now except Anderson. Vinson, Armwood, and Ross all would have taken a Gtown offer on the spot, but Gtown was never interested in them enough to offer.
